The Tri-Service AIDS Clinical Consortium (TACC)

TACC is the organization of DoD investigators from the three military services (Army, Navy, Air Force) representing seven major military treatment facilities (MTFs) that conducts HIV research in the DoD including the longitudinal Natural History Study (NHS). The purpose of the TACC is to provide the core for maintenance of HIV clinical expertise within the military medical system and to provide a forum for DoD experts in clinical HIV care and research to prioritize efforts to improve the quality of clinical HIV research within the military. An additional critical role is to act as long-term stewards for the valuable collection of samples and data represented in the Natural History Study Repository (NHSR). The TACC Executive Committee (EC) is responsible for scientific oversight and management of the TACC. The EC includes senior Infectious Diseases specialists from each service with extensive experience in HIV treatment and research.
